She was on a spirit quest. That was . . . . cool . . . not really. She was catch the smallpox while she was here. "I really hope my shots came back with me." Walking down the street no one seemed to see her--or care to look at her. Either way no one spoke to her. She was observing. There was a smell here. It wasn't exactly bad but it wasn't really good either. And dust was on everything. "I miss grass."
She hurried to the bar, where she was guessing shed find anyone that she needed too--everyone she knew was too shady to go anywhere nice. If they were the bad guys, they'd be here. If they were--Doc! He'd was here too! Good! He was walking toward the back by himself, and while it looked like he might be heading toward the card tables in the back she needed him. Moving quickly she stepped in front of him, not sure if she would be able to stop him or if he'd walk right threw her unable to see her. "Doc!" Trying his name to see if that made him react.

darlin' I'M EVERYBODY'S TYPE Enough chit chat for today, Doc was ready to head to the cards table. That was where all the real action was. He was waiting from further instructions from Wyatt but even he needed to relax . . . and Doc certainly hoped that was what he was doing. Relaxing . . . with a woman. Which, perhaps was not too relaxing at all.
The thought made Doc internally smile as he took another step towards the backroom to win some money . . . when suddenly, he was stopped. Being stopped by a woman was indeed a wonderful thing. But . . . well, she looked woman enough. Her features very feminine yet her dress -- or lack there of -- was, peculiar. Yet, she seemed to know him. But then, that was hardly a surprise. His reputation here after all was growing. "Can I help you with something Ma'am . . . or is it, Sir?" A curious tone in his voice to open the subject of why a woman would be wearing clothing like that. It definitely left more to be desired.

There was that Doc charm! She smiled, enjoying the idea of meeting him before he met her. THEN he called her a sir. "Dude, I got boobs and a great ass! I'm a chick." She told him, then noticed that no other girls were wearing pants. Shit! Right! Pulling her coat tighter around her she looked up at him. "I need to talk to you. Alone. Now." She kept adding on, knowing that they were drawing attention.
She wasn't sure what she was supposed to learn here but she needed to figure it out and right now he was her only friend--even if he didn't know it yet! "I need you help." Adding that on might make him agree. She was leaning on that 'cowboy' in him that helped people and was honorable. Maybe if he thought she was in trouble he would go off alone with her. They could figure out what was happening here. Together.

darlin' I'M EVERYBODY'S TYPE Well, she had a rather . . . blunt way of speaking. Even the way she spoke. Very . . . different. Just as was the way she dressed. Peculiar indeed. And yet, there was something oddly familiar about her. She reminded him of someone . . . he just couldn't figure out who. He knew for damn sure that he hadn't met her before. He wasn't likely to forget someone like her. Yet, she seemed to know him. The way she spoke to him made it seem as such.
Doc wasn't nearly drunk enough for this. Intrigue did get the best of him though when she asked to speak alone. "Why yes, I can surely see that," he responded, his eyes looking over her when she said she had . . . an ass and boobs. "And so eloquently put too," he added on with a jovial tease. Yet, at her request . . . yes. The intrigue was strong.
"Well, who am I to deny a damsel in need of my assistance." He wanted to know more about her. "Let's go in the back room here. I do believe it is vacant," he told her. A side room for overflow on poker nights. Today, it was empty as the rush was not so great. He motioned with his hand for her to go first. After all, ladies -- oddly dressed and all -- first.

Oh he had a lot to learn before he got to the future. Words like boobs and ass were so commonly tossed around that no one blinked until you were at Church. Even with the proper words he used, she could see the lightness to him. This was Doc before the well. Before the darkness. Part of her wondered if she should tell him that the stone witch was going to betray him and leave him to live out his life with Wyatt.
The other part of her knew she needed him in the future. And wasn't ready to make that choice. She turned and walked to the room he told her about, looking back to make sure he was following. There was a lot they needed to talk about, and she wasn't sure how to prove any of it. Expect for . . . maybe she did. But it wouldn't be a pleasent way.
Turning to him once the door was shut, "Thanks. So ummm . . . . . I'm Wynonna." Earp. But she couldn't tell him that just yet. How did they always name people? "They call me tight ass Wynonna." Wait that sounded better in her head! "Don't call me that."

darlin' I'M EVERYBODY'S TYPE Once they were in the room alone, she introduced herself as Wynonna. The name didn't ring a bell in the slightest. And then she went on to say that they call her that. They? Who was they? "Oh I wouldn't dream of it." Calling her . . . tight ass Wynonna.
"But who is this they that you are referring to?" Maybe that would give him some clarity on the situation or at least touch on why he was so familiar to her but she was not to him. Or, maybe he should just ask straight up. "I would also introduce myself but it seems as if you already know who I am. Placing me at a slight disadvantage." The words calm, non threatened, but still, curious. "Especially as I do not recall meeting you before. I doubt I would forget a woman such as yourself." Perhaps there was a hint of flirtation in his voice. How could he not flirt with a beautiful woman? Strangely dressed, yes, but still beautiful.

Who are they? "They! . . .Them . . . they They-Them family. Mr. They, Ms. They, little them children." Who asked who they are! They were clearly people in a group! Groups of people were called a they. He also asked who she was. Huh. Doc didn't know her! She could tell him she was Ms. Fanty-Pants and he'd believe her. She laughed at her joke in her head but then answered. "I'm Wynonna Earrrrrrrrr--" nope! "--mmmmeeeeennn . . . . doorrrfff?"
"Wynonna Earrmendorf." UGH! What the hell was wrong with her stupid stupid brain! Closing her eyes and rolled them at herself before looking back at him. "I need your help. And what I am going to say will sound crazy . . . er then what I've ready said to you."
"But your sort of all I got."

darlin' I'M EVERYBODY'S TYPE She both answered his question and did not. She didn't quite explain who 'they' were other than referring to them as children and well, it was rather concerning that little children would mark a remark on a woman's ass. Seemed they weren't raised proper. But, he decided to avoid opening that subject and instead, focused next on her name. Which, wasn't any easier to focus on. Seemed that every answer she gave was . . . a peculiar one. And still, there was something about her. Still something that intrigued him instead of just excusing himself from a possibly unwell woman. In the head anyway. And that intrigue only grew when she said that he was all she had.
"Well Ms . . . " He paused for a brief moment before continuing. "Earrmendorf." What a strange name indeed but alas, who he was to judge. "I am not sure what you believe I can do for you. But there may be others better suited for the job." She still spoke to him as if she knew him and he still didn't understand why. "But as I said, far be it from me to keep from helping a woman in need. So what is it you feel the need to tell me?" In that moment, he felt it coming. He pulled out a hankerchief, and turned his head as he coughed repeatedly into it. He knew that he didn't have a whole lot longer, and it was part of the reason he wasn't entirely certain how much use he could be to her. Not that that had ever stopped him before.

In an effort to feel less like a drunken co-ed trying to talk her way out of a a paddling in the professors office, she decided instead to forget about everything she just said and not linger on the fact that she was making herself look like Champ at spelling bee. "I'm not drunk. I want to start there. I wish I was, but I am annoying sober." Though saying you weren't drunk was like admitting you were drunk--though this time true!
"I was sent here." She told him, "On a spirit guide to learn about Wyatt Earp." There! That was a decent beginning. They could deal with this and once she got him believing then she would tell him they were sort of sometimes lovers in the future were he was an immortal gun slinger, and she was a a drunken party girl who sent demons back to hell.
But one step at a time.

darlin' I'M EVERYBODY'S TYPE Knowing it was rude of him to face away from her, he quickly tucked his blood soaked fabric back in his pocket and turned to look at her once more -- no matter how, outrageous this entire scenario seemed. She said she wasn't drunk, and he believed her. Mainly because while she was odd, her behaviour did not indicate as such. Nor did he smell any alcohol from her breath.
It might have been better if she was drunk though. Would have made this all make a whole lot more sense. She then spoke of how she was sent here . . . on a spirit guide. A . . . what now? But it was the name that captured his interest. The name of someone that he would die protecting. "What about him?" He immediately question, his protective nature of the man suddenly raising all guards. She said she was here to learn about him . . . why? "Who sent you?" He questioned. They were in a dangerous line of work so if she posed a potential threat -- for Doc was not one to underestimate anyone -- then he would eliminate it as soon as possible.

Well, she knew that look. Wynonna knew all of Docs look really well, and she knew how he felt about Wyatt. They were besties. Bros. Peas in a pod . . . . she really hoped that was all they were because sleeping with the same guy that her great great great slept with would be hella awkward.
"A . . . guy. Named Jaun Carlo. I think he was a preacher, but now he just drives around in his truck and talks in riddles." What did he do? Who paid for the gas in that truck? "I know you're like it--" she crossed her two fingers to show the word tight, "--with him. I know you're dying. I know you got it from you Mama. Alice."
She needed to give him something to prove all this, she she stepped closer. He had just coughed hard, so she knew he could be getting close. Her voice was softer when she gave him the proof. "You used to craw under the house, and listen to her. It's why you hate the dark tight places." One of them anyway.

darlin' I'M EVERYBODY'S TYPE This woman was living proof that you didn't need a gun to fire. Words could hit hard just like bullets. Because with what she was saying . . . Doc was attempting to process. She knew things about him. Personal things. Very personal things. Things that he had never told anyone, except for Wyatt. Things that were difficult for him to even vocalize. She knew his mother's name. She knew his inner, strongest fear. He'd noticed that there was a way she spoke to him that made it seem as if she knew him, but never would he have thought it was to this extent.
He felt numb, frozen in place, his hand casually rested on his gun but then, it had been there for some time, before she started spouting out. When she first mentioned Wyatt's name. Now, she may still be a threat, but she was a knowledgeable one. He didn't talk about his mama with anyone . . . least of all was he going to do so with a woman in pants. The bit about dying . . . he knew he could justify with word spreading. But the other parts; they were far too personal. So he just stayed quiet, trying to take all this information in while he felt his head spin from it. No. This wasn't right. None of this was right. And yet only one question fled his lips . . . probably the most irrelevant one of them all. "What is a truck?"

What is what? "Oh shit, right." They didn't have trucks here. Not yet. Not for a LONG while. "It's a . . . . . wagon. . . . with no horse." Not ready to go into that, she instead watched his face for any sign that he was leaning toward believing her or leaning toward having her burned as a witch. Because she knew this was only going to sound more crazy the longer they were talking.
"I'm from your future. Juan Carlo sent me back in time to learn about Wyatt Earp, and the where it all started." She added in a little bit bigger part of the story to get the major part in the open. The rest they could deliver out bit by bit. But the here from the future to learn about the past was the important part. "You're my friend there." AND so much more. She kinda sort of majorly loved him, but could drop her guard enough to be with him.

darlin' I'M EVERYBODY'S TYPE A wagon with no horses? He wished that the most ridiculous thing she had said. But sadly, it was not. She had said more strange things than that, and the strange things just kept going. Talking about the future, and bringing up this . . . Juan Carlo man again. Who the hell was he? Was he supposed to no him? No. Doc surely would have remembered; he liked to pride himself in having a good memory. And then she said they were friends.
That would explain the familiarity . . . but no! This was all utter nonsense! He could hardly entertain it. Yet she seemed so, adamant in her belief in all this. "Well Ma'am. While this has been a very . . . enlightenin' conversation--" He was trying to be polite but there was some sarcasm there. "I am afraid I must depart. But before I do, I just have one more question. Why is it that you are so interested in Wyatt Earp?" Because that was the takeaway here. In all the craziness that she talked about, he just needed to make sure that no harm would come to his friend. That she truly did not pose to be a threat . . . maybe she was just a fan of him. Maybe she was sweet on him. Whatever the reason, he needed to know that once he stepped out of this room, Wyatt was still a safe man.

He talked about leaning and she groaned, knowing that she was going to have to try to stop him. There was no way she could find Wyatt without him. She needed to learn more about the cruse and Clootie but in order to do that she needed to find them. If anyone could help her--it was Doc freakin' Holliday! And he thought she was bat shit!
"Wait, I know I sound crazy but I am not!" He asked about why she wanted to know Wyatt and someone she thought that saying the truth would be worse then any lie. She should lie! She knew she should. But if he loved Wyatt like she thought he did they maybe it would also help her. Though admitting that she was his great-great-granddaughter would lead into HOW she knew him, and the whole story wasn't one she could get into right now. She needed simple and honest. "I'm . . . I'm a decedent of his. From the future. I'm Wynonna Earp. Named after him, even. Sort of. I'm told I sort of remind people of him. Though I've never met him."
